GABRIELE LEPORATTI - Master class for Piano

Each active course participant will receive two lessons with Gabriele Leporatti. Registrations will be considered in the order in which they are received. All participants will receive a notification from us.

Gabriele Leporatti, praised by critics for his passionate playing full of aesthetics and depth, was born in Italy and now lives in Germany. He graduated summa cum laude from the “Luigi Cherubini” conservatory in Florence at the age of 19. Further studies led him to world-class pianists such as Fabio Bidini, Maria Tipo, Jerome Rose and Joaquin Achúcarro. The special prize winner of the 2003 Bremen Piano Competition and winner of the Dorothy McKanzie Award in New York performs solo recitals and as a chamber musician with partners such as Eva Mei and Fabio Bidini as well as with soloists from the Amsterdam Concertgebouw and the Rotterdam Philharmonic Orchestra. Extensive concert tours have taken him throughout Europe, to South Africa, China, Turkey and the USA, to venues such as London’s Wigmore Hall, the small broadcasting hall of NDR Hanover and the He Luting Hall in Shanghai. In 2009 he gave his New York debut with a solo recital at the International Keyboard Institute and Festival at the Mannes College of Music. His recordings include the solo CD “the young brahms”. As a sought-after teacher, he has taught annually at the International Keyboard Institute and Festival of the Mannes College of Music in New York since 2011.

Since 2012, he has been a lecturer in piano and head of the piano department at the Anton Rubinstein International Music Academy in Düsseldorf.
